A typical Ole Henriksen facial utilises steam throughout treatment - this increases the skins receptiveness to the active ingredients. Brush exfoliation ensures deep cleansing whilst the use of vacuum suction is highly effective in promoting lymphatic drainage. Ole's use of galvanic currents throughout the various stages of the treatment not only aids in the deeper penetration of active ingredients, but also firms and tones muscle tissue.

Why should I have regular facials?
 
Regular facials (especially with an active home-care regimen) will help prevent breakouts, keep your surface cells newer and healthier, and thereby ensure that your skin looks its very best. It is recommend to have a facial every 6-8 weeks , it depends on your skin type but the spirit one spa therapists will advise you on how often you should have a facial.

What is an extraction?

Extractions are considered the heart of a clinical-style facial - they are the manual removal of sebum (oil and dirt) from your pores. It is the sebum, trapped within the pores beneath the skin’s top layers, which can cause breakouts. Once the spirit one spa therapist performs exfoliation, she will proceed to apply pressure to congested areas on your face, using either her fingers, or a metal extractor in order to remove the sebum from your pores. Sebum-free pores not only don’t develop pimples, they appear much smaller, making your skin look clearer and brighter.

Ole Henriksen 'Enlighted Me' Pigment Lightening Serum

Ole's treatment product for uneven pigment (sun spots, age spots etc.) should be used at night underneath your regular cream. It is extremely light so may be used by oily skins to combat acne scarring. Mulberry and THC, both natural pigment suppressing ingredients will, in time, help to reveal a more uniform complexion.
